Formed in 1988 as Megahertz (alternate spelling: Megaherz), they recorded 3 songs at the Albanian state TV studios.
In 1992 they changed their name to Thunder Way (or Thander Uej as it appears on a official video clip broadcast in 1992).
Elton Deda's musical preferences were in contrast to the other members of Thunder Way as he was into a more rock/pop oriented style. Thus in 1995 he left the band due to creative differences.
They won the first position in the Albanian Rock festival in 1995.
