METALLIC BLUE records is very proud to announce the release of "Fyr-Eye - Fight For Rock".
FYR-EYE was the hottest band in Utah in the mid-80's (before MEGATTACK hit the scene) winning all the battle of the band competitions. A few creative differences between band members caused the band to break up, leaving only the EP cassette as their only recording. Though the band leader guitarist Dave Ewart kept the master reel in perfect condition for this flawless CD issue. Some of the FYR-EYE members would form the band ANTIX in the 1990's and release the album "Take Off" which has become a bit of a collector's item. Many fans around the world are still unaware of the FYR-EYE recording, which is now being unleashed for the world to hear. FYR-EYE vocalist John Hoffman has a vocal sound that is very reminiscent to that of John Bush (ARMORED SAINT, ANTHRAX). "Fight 4 Rock" will definitely appeal to fans of the mid-80's era ARMORED SAINT and the Mike Howe era METAL CHURCH. The band mixes melodic hard rock similar to bands like WARRIOR, MALICE, LIZZY BORDEN and mixes it with the slightly more "metal" style bands such as "VICIOUS RUMORS", "SAVATAGE" and the forementioned bands "ARMORED SAINT".
