Once a beacon of Belgian prog, Palass morphed into a full-throttle metal comet. Their debut "Private Property" (1981) shimmered with crystalline guitars and unbound, atmospheric structures; by decade’s end they threw the switch with "Queen of the World" - sleeker, punchier and driven by razor-edged riffs that could power a small city. Producer pressure, a sudden singer swap (Daniel Duvieusart out, the thunderous Eric Pouillard in) and a lightning-fast re-record led to a second identity under the name Rescue - two versions of the same album, side-by-side, pure ’80s spectacle.
This CULT METAL CLASSICS reissue lands in the next coming months with remastered sound, a freshly penned biography, complete lyrics and a gallery of rare photos rescued from dusty rehearsal rooms and smoke-filled club stages.
