KAOS - TV Eye LP (Pre-Order)

Following the underground success of their 1985 debut album Total Kaos - a basement-recorded hard rock gem originally pressed in a limited run of just 1000 copies on their own independent MOLE Records label, and now a sought-after rarity among vinyl collectors worldwide - the story of KAOS was far from over. After the debut's release, the band went through further member changes and kept pushing forward, driven by the same relentless passion that had defined them from the very beginning. In 1987, Rainer and Cindy Wiechmann made the bold move from Newfoundland to Ontario, rekindling the flame and recruiting new members to relaunch the band - with long-time friend and gifted drummer Dale Penney on board. The result was TV Eye, a follow-up cassette EP that captured KAOS in an exciting new chapter, before the band officially disbanded in late 1988.

Recorded at the legendary Mr. Mole Studio on a Tascam 38, featuring Dale, Cindy and Rainer on guitars, bass and keyboards, TV Eye is a testament to the band's versatility and enduring creative spirit. The release also includes the raw and energetic demo track "Electric Dreams" - recorded with four mics in a rehearsal room and later finished in the studio - a fascinating glimpse into the band's creative process. Notably, some of the re-recorded tracks on this release were originally part of a 1991 cassette released under the name Playn Jayne, as the band explored a fresh identity as a four-piece.

Once again, we are proud to have connected with the band through the legendary Swedish guitarist and music historian Janne Stark, who handled the layout design and LP remastering, bringing this long-lost gem back to life with the care and quality it deserves.
