Ore was a short-lived but energetic band from London that emerged in the early 1980s during the heyday of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. The lineup featured Gordon McArthur on vocals, known for his dynamic stage presence; Dean Howard on guitar, who would go on to play with acts such as Air Race, T’Pau, and Ian Gillan; Dave Boyce on bass, later performing with Samson, Grand Slam, the Quireboys, and Heavy Pettin; and Andy Elphick on drums, who would later join bands like Moritz, Unorfadox, and If Only. This release includes the 1982 double A-sided 7" single Your Time Will Come / Yellow Fever, the two-track 1984 demo tape, and four songs recorded live at the Reading Festival in 1982. The artwork features an eight-page booklet with a biography and photos. For collectors and fans of the NWOBHM, their story is one of many that form the rich and often overlooked tapestry of early ’80s British heavy metal.
