STALLION - Demos Anthology (In Search Of Power) CD

Stallion was a French heavy metal band formed in 1983 by Laurent (guitar) and William (bass), later finalizing their classic lineup in 1984 with singer "Draggy," drummer Joe, and second guitarist Pascal. Known for their refusal to sing in French despite pressure from record labels, the band committed to English vocals and built a solid reputation through high-profile performances, such as the 1985 Choisy-le-Roi Festival alongside acts like Trust and ADX. Throughout the mid-to-late '80s, they released influential demos like Heavy Rock and In Search of Power, and were featured on the 1987 Just In Power compilation and in Hard Force magazine. In a final bid for international success in late 1987, they recruited singer Jean-Jacques "Jo" Berete to adopt a more commercial American hard rock sound, resulting in a final 1989 demo. However, the big breakthrough never arrived, and the band faded out before the 1990s. Today, their legacy is preserved by Steel Shark Records, which has compiled their work into a "Demos Anthology" to bring these '80s outsiders back into the spotlight.
